A.I. Quintanilla is a Mexican-American writer and physician. After earning her BA in English from Rice University, she spent a year as an Auxiliar de Conversación in Spain. She then earned her MD and completed training in Pediatrics. Her poetry has appeared in Scalawag, the PANK Latinx folio, and The Florida Review Aquifer. A.I. is an alumna of the Tin House 2025 Winter Workshop.

She grew up on the border in El Paso and continues to live in Texas with her dog.
